Media ministry is using technologies, such as sound, video, websites, and mobile applications for communication in support of sharing God's message.
An Excellent Tool
Churches have used media as part of their ministries since the start of televangelism in the 1930s. Media is a powerful tool for ministry because it allows for mass communication and has the potential to reach millions of people all across the world.
Today, Christian doctrine can be communicated audio-visually through various means, such as streaming platforms and social media; it can be made accessible through transcription, captioning, and language translation; and it can be accessed by tv, phone, tablets, and other devices.
Tell the World
Romans 10:13-18 explains that the faithful are sent to preach the gospel to all parts of the world. We must tell the world, but God gives everyone free will and the right to decide to accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
Romans 1:18-20 tells us that God shows the world what is unrighteous, so that they are without excuse when they make their decision. As followers of Christ, we strive to give every person opportunity to come to Christ, through the knowledge of the gospel, so that they may accept the gift of salvation, live righteously, and serve the Lord. This is the purpose for our media ministry.
